Value Engineering
At Bradley-Barnes, we base our business on the concept that
we are not only constructing buildings, but are building long term relationships with
our clients. We are a relatively young company that has already built a reputation of working for repeat clients.
Bearing this in mind, we are motivated continually to provide analysis of the project on negotiated work with the architect and owner, even after a lump-sum price may have been established, to ensure that
the finished building represents the best possible value for the owner's construction dollar, while at the same time meets the
owner's expectations, the architect's specifications, project goals, and aesthetic requirements.
Bradley-Barnes believes that one of the primary responsibilities of a general contractor should be providing the best value for the dollar. Most of the negotiated work
that we perform requires an integral value analysis service. Bradley-Barnes has helped several clients recently in conjunction with their architects, to develop cost-saving and time-saving ideas that make these projects feasible. These jobs have included church projects, office space, and medical treatment facilities. Increasingly,
we have provided value engineering on public and private bid work (where
we were the low bidder), which required substantial cost reductions in order to meet budgets.
Our experience with this process helps
us to be an integral part of the team, providing value engineering analysis, and suggestions for cost savings and construction methods.
