Addition

Sacred Heart Catholic Church

Southport, NC

As Sacred Heart Catholic Church began to grow, they realized they needed to expand their facilities.  Bradley-Barnes Construction is proud to be part of this beautiful project.  Using a team/build approach, the project consisted of a new 15,000 square foot sanctuary and renovations to the existing facility.  This is a timber frame structure, with steel, metal stud framing, and brick veneers.

When the Church decided on making further improvements, they, again, elected to have Bradley-Barnes do the work.  Our second project consisted of renovations to their original building. Some interior renovations took place during our building of the addition.  This second project was a renovation to the entire exterior siding and trim.  This renovation also included replacement of the existing roof, removal of the steeple, and construction of a new bell tower.

The ceiling in the sanctuary was designed to be reminiscent of a boat with custom woodwork and colorful stained glass panels.
